Employment Conditions
* Willing to work throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and preferably possess reliable transportation.
* Ability to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes (LTC), retirement homes, rehabilitation centres, home and community care, medical clinics, community health centres, correctional facilities, and private healthcare organizations.
* Location: Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada.
* Full-time or part-time – Variable shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays based on assignments and availability).
* Compensation: Up to $40.00 per assignment, plus additional benefits (premiums, travel reimbursement, accommodations for selected assignments, continuing education opportunities, and more).

Position Summary
Asicc-Med is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to provide safe, competent, and patient-centred nursing care across a variety of healthcare settings throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Working under the standards established by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in collaboration with Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), physicians, and other healthcare professionals, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers nursing care, monitors patient conditions, administers medications and treatments, and promotes the health, safety, and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs within the RPN scope of practice.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
* Administer medications, treatments, injections, wound care, and other nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and CNO standards.
* Monitor patient progress and promptly report significant changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare provider.
* Perform nursing procedures and clinical interventions within the Registered Practical Nurse scope of practice.
* Provide health teaching and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
* Assist with admissions, transfers, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation using electronic or paper health records.
* Collaborate effectively with Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), physicians, Personal Support Workers (PSWs), therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
* Promote patient safety, dignity, privacy, cultural sensitivity, and quality of care.
* Comply with Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC), Occupational Health and Safety legislation, and organizational policies.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position, as assigned by the employer or healthcare facility, provided such duties are within the employee's scope of practice, qualifications, applicable legislation, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Education
* Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited Canadian college or an equivalent program recognized in Ontario.
* Graduates of approved practical nursing programs recognized by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Licensure
* Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
* Valid license to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario.
Experience
* Previous experience in hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes (LTC), retirement homes, rehabilitation centres, home care, or community healthcare settings is considered an asset.
* Experience providing care to seniors, individuals with chronic illnesses, rehabilitation patients, or individuals with complex care needs is preferred.
Certifications
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications are considered assets depending on assignment requirements.
* Current Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) training is considered an asset.
* Additional specialty certifications relevant to the assigned clinical setting are considered an asset.

Administrative Requirements
* Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Record Check).
* Immunization records meeting the requirements of partner healthcare facilities, including proof of vaccinations where required.
* Legal authorization to work in Canada.
