Employment Conditions
* Willing to work throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and preferably possess reliable transportation.
* Ability to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes (LTC), retirement homes, rehabilitation centres, home and community care, clinics, and private residences.
* Location: Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada.
* Full-time or part-time – Variable shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays based on assignments and availability).
* Compensation: Up to $35.00 per assignment, plus additional benefits (premiums, travel reimbursement, accommodations for selected assignments, continuing education opportunities, and more).

Position Summary
Asicc-Med is seeking dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide compassionate personal care and support services to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients experiencing temporary or permanent loss of independence.
Working under the supervision of the clinical team, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining each client's health, comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while promoting the highest quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene.
* Deliver personal care services in accordance with the established care plan.
* Observe and promptly report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
* Assist clients with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe patient handling techniques.
* Accompany clients to appointments, recreational activities, and community outings as required.
* Promote client comfort, dignity, independence, and emotional well-being.
* Collaborate effectively with Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients.
* Document care provided and report observations in accordance with organizational policies and legislative requirements.
* Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
* Deliver care with compassion, professionalism, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position, as assigned by the employer or healthcare facility, provided such duties are within the employee's scope of practice, qualifications, applicable legislation, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Education
* Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an accredited Ontario college or another recognized educational institution.
* Internationally educated healthcare professionals with equivalent education and experience may be considered where applicable.
Experience
* Previous experience in a Long-Term Care Home (LTC), retirement residence, hospital, rehabilitation centre, home care, or community healthcare setting is considered an asset.
* Experience supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or clients with complex care needs is preferred.
Certifications
* Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification or equivalent.
* Safe Patient Handling and Transfer training (asset).
* Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) training (asset).
* Additional healthcare-related certifications are considered an asset.

* Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages, including French, are considered an asset.
Administrative Requirements
* Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Record Check).
* Immunization records meeting the requirements of partner healthcare facilities, when applicable.
* Legal authorization to work in Canada.
